Can't unlock 3310

I have been given a 3310 which was unlocked - used on Vodaphone and Orange. But when I try it with Virgin SIM I get message SIM card not accepted. I have tried the codes to see if it is locked and it reports SIM not restricted. Why won't it accept the Virgin SIM? Please can someone help me?

are you also entering the GID1 code ( the one ending +2#) as this needs to be entered as well

when you generate the unlock code there should be 2 (yours is a dual band phone)
