Damsel in distress... 7250i GPRS probs... please help if you can! :)

Hey guys...

I just bought my friend's Nokia 7250i to upgrade from my old 3310. I'm an O2 customer and she was with Orange, but I got the unlock codes and now my SIM is accepted in the phone. Most services (phone calls, SMS etc) are fine, but the problem comes with using picture messaging services or trying to access mobile internet. I never had these services with my old phone, so could my O2 account need upgrading or something? I get a message saying 'GPRS connection not available' and picture messages can neither be sent or received. The phone's connection settings in the 'connectivity' menu are configured for access to the Orange GPRS service, although the multimedia messaging settings have been overridden by the O2 Active settings available on the website. What could be the problem? Please help if you know how... I'm useless at all this technical stuff... i just wanna send pretty pictures!

I should imagine you'll need to upgrade your account, when i got my ngage i was unable to do simliar stuff unless i upgraded my contract.

About your problem, sir paul is right
I had the same problem on vodafone when I upgraded to my 7210
your account must be enabled for the GPRS service this is normally free but the calls you make to them can cost money
Also you will need the correct GPRS settings on your phone
Your best bet is to go on the O2 webiste and take a look around
