    Problem with 3510i data cable

i bought a data cable with 4 pins but when i used it in the trial version of oxygen phone manager II version 2.3 build 1.0 it wont detect my phone.

i also used it in the mobimb software but still it wont detect my phone.

is there a problem with my cable or softwares?

if software, what software am i going to use? what configuration should i make?

If you are using MobiMB, if you haven't done this yet, then go to connection settings and add a connection. I'm not sure which cable you have, but most likely, it is the FBUS cable. Select that, and configure it to point to COM 1 (or wherever your cable is attached.)

If you have done that, check if the four pins stick out fully. Usually, one or two of the pins sink and get stuck thus making MobiMB or Oxygen unable to detect your phone.

    Hope this helps.

Unhappy A very stupid question, but.....

Maybe I have the same cable but my problem is way easier to resolve:

Where in the phone is the cable suposed to go? I think I have the same cable bubble eye is talking about but I don't know where to plug it in my phone, I have a 6010 the new one from T-mo and I've use a v70 as a modem once and I'm trying to do the same with my 6010 and since the phone is like a 3595 I bought a 3595 cable, but I don't know where to plug it in.

There is a space below the battery but the conector just wont go, so I don't know what to do. The cable has the same four pins surrounded by some foam square I guess to protect the pins during transport, but the connector is just too large to fit in the space where the battery is, and I don't know if the phone needs the battery to connect to the PC, so I give up.

Your help would be welcome, thanks.

Nokia 3510i cable goes in beneath the battery

Allot of those cables have a place to half clip in the battery, so make sure that your phone is switched on with the datacable plugged in, otherwise it wont detect a thing.
