Hi !!!

Well I am newbie to Mobile Flashing. I have Nokia 3310 but how do i know whether it is new or old. on *#0000# it reports me

What is the difference between a old and new Nokia 3310 ?
Can i flash a New Nokia Flash to old Nokia Phone?

And How do i mod my flash so that i can have a security code option to unclock the keypad?

Hi,

Yep, U have an old version, 6.33 is the latest.

If it helps, mine was 4.06 and do run quite ok with this 633 version inside.

A good reason to update would be U get the auto keylock function, a picture editor and the ability to store more as 15 sms on the simcard, when the sim is also suitable for that.

U can make a good (2MB) backup of Ur phone 1st which U always can return.

For flashing the phone U will need to have both the flasher & datacables.

For the modding of flashfiles and more fun stuff U can read around on this site, eg start in the NokiX and g3n0lite areas.

Ps, after flashing the new version, U have to set the 3310>3315 bit (knok) to activate the new things, otherwise they not show in menu.
