Radio in 3100

Is the radio in the 3200 HW or SW?
if SW can I pach the MCU (just the radio part of it) on my 3100? and also the sound recorder?

3100 and 3200 are 2 totally different phones.

We can't modify DCT4 firmware so it's not possible.

it impossible to decode the flash files like in DCT3? why?

I didn't say it was impossible.
I said we can't do it.
And we can't because of encryption.

dct3 modding was too easy, so nokia decided to work a little bit on security, and encrypted their software..

of course there are ones who are working on it... but that will take time.

about radio - i believe it is hardware.. not sure though.
