Msg wont delete on 6600

I have 2 msg's. One in my drafts and the other in my sent box. They are stored on the memory card.
Problem was I was getting texts but my phone wasn't bleeping to tell me I'd received them. It would just show an envelope in the top right but not "1 new message" across the screen or anything like it use to.
I decided to format my phone holding down the 3 keys etc.....
Some programs were still on my phone after I had formatted and the 2 texts were there aswell.
It also wouldnt let me backup my phone on nokia pcsuit either, saying it had an unexpected error.

Is there an easy explanation for this or is my mmc nakered?

I have the same problem but i have a messages stuck in the outbox, the sent items and the inbox, its well annoying cos it doesn't tell me when i get a new message, it doesn't even light up

if you installed apps on mmc when you format phone you only delete phone files you need to format both phone and mmc.
backup error causes by programs which are working at backround use appman or devman close all apps and open files which are not system or download new version of data suit.
in case to backup contacts use contact manager or smartVcard these can export and import your contacts for messages message storer or message saver.
