Very Important Question about buying a phone

Hi everybody

I am buying a phone from my friend and i would like to know how can i prevent from buying a blocked/barred/stolen phone.

I mean, what should i check (or ask the seller) before buying a mobile phone?

I think You should check IMEI (under battery and *#06#) and compare it with IMEI on the phone pack.
Also try to use different operators SIM cards.

And if He's Your friend, I think You will find him and ask Your money back if someting will be wrong.
