I have heard a lot about troubles, people all over the net had got with absolutely regular bought GriffinBoxes to flash handies.
I didn't believe this as long as i have contacted Griffin.org by myself with following problem:

Hi, Mart !
Referring to the problems we know (although you wrote there will not be any problem) I must ask you to a concrete situation:
An european OFFICIAL Reseller from Griffin's homepage (!) delivered a box which was ordered in November 2004. Until today (3 month!!) the box don't
work. The box was advertised and ordered as ACTIVATED and REGISTERED!! And was payed correct before delivering!!
The official reseller didn't send any registrations-code or serial number with the box. After installing, the software showed the "bad activation status" and didn't show any SN !!!
1.) Without the SN it's impossible to log in at Griffin's Team for an official registration to get the special GUL-file, any customer has to care about and
keep the file special save.
2.) Without GUL-File it's not possible to get the box working
Sorry, but this IS the situation around Griffin in Europe!
Please, tell me the solution of this problem!!

This is the truth about Griffin!!

This is the unequivocal evidence, other people in the net wrote the truth. Griffin takes money but after this you get nothing!!
Don't buy this !!

Also I think you need to send your box back to the reseller not the manufacturer
Obviously the 'Official Reseller' is selling cloned boxes as originals it is their fault not Griffin themselves

You say its the truth but the amount of people who have bought their boxes and that work fine is way way more than the people who dont, mainly you
