If your 3310 has 16 Mb, you must be talking of Mbits, not Mbytes... x8 difference! So you have 2Mbytes flash, like everyone...

If you change for 4Mb, you should be able to upgrade to 3330.

I've seen a few posts here from people who successfully upgraded 3310 to 3330 by changing flash to 4 Mbytes and changing software. But I've never done it myself. It should not be a problem to put back 3310 software after that.

Normal flash size for 3310 is 2 Mbytes. I don't know why he keeps on talking in Mbits... To upgrade you need to change the memory IC in your phone.
