there can be a few issues here... if your phone has NO signal at all when you power it up then it can be the RF IC (MJOLNER) or the external RF Connector might be loose or have a lifted pad on the board...
if your phone gets a signal but it drops off some time later then this is the PA that is at fault... another thing that might be faulty is the Diplexor, but this is not very likely...

ok... the first thing i would do is open the phone and have a look at the External Antenna Connector... make sure its nice and secure on the board, if its wobbling about then thats the problem...
if its ok then you need to reflow your RF IC (MJOLNER)... so read the many guides out there for reflowing and good luck!!!

can you show me a pic of where the External Antenna Connector is on the board & to you know of any link where i can get info on reflow your RF IC i did ask you once before about reflow in another post but you never got back to me but saying that i not check it again look for about 2 week with no joy i know iam asking a lot but it sound like your the only one who going to help me![]()
Go to the Hardware repair section. There is a very good post by Mr. sergo_zmeia about reflowing ICs.
Another thing... we assume that the phone is completely compatible with the frequencies on your country, right?
