Replacement LCD required for 6681

Hi All

My 6681's screen suddenly went dark, no warnings nothing.. I showed the phone to Nokia guys who told me that the LCD screen needs to be replaced. I am hunting for 6681 screens in India, but i don't see any online help on this.. Also, how can i be sure that its the LCD screen and not any chip or component that has gone bad, i have this doubt because the Nokia engineer never opened the phone, just took it into his hands looked at me, mentioned that the LCD needs replacement and mentioned a huge bill for this service.

Hi,

Its most likely your display that is at fault, since the component that controls the display also controls a number of other functions, like keypad, and since you can power the phone on with the key pad i would say your display is faulty...

Displays for the 6680 fit the 6681 and I am sure there are a few on eBay...

At least it is clear that the LCD needs replacement.. Thanks a ton dear, i will now search the required on eBay as u mentioned..
