Different types of data cable (?)

Hi, I'm new to Ericsson unlocking / servicing and would like some information about the data cables.

I'm only interested in cables for the newer models, not the old ones such as the a1018, t10 etc.

Firstly are there different types of cable, like on nokias or is it all done through a single bus ?

If there are different types, what cable would I need to use logging software to unlock these phones: t28, t39, r320, t68, t68i ?

Additionaly, is there any way to tell the cables appart? What I mean by this is, if I have 2 or more cables in front of me, how do I know which does what?

    Thanks (a lot) in advance.

You have to ask the sales department if the cable is good for unlocking or not, that's how you know... It's usually stated right away... Data cables are more expensive than unlock cables... You need an unlock cable

    thanks.

I have a data cable at the moment and it doesn't appear to work for remote unlocking of a t39 via. mobile-doctor.co.uk

It was listed as having the ability to unlock phones though.

Is a "F-bus and M-bus other wise know as dual bus" cable what I would need for this?

    Thanks again mate.
