Strange

I flashed my phone with NHM-5 5.79 for 3310, then updated the faid. I was looking through the menus and saw a timer option in the profiles menu. The phone rebooted then and i updated the faid again, but the option was gone. What could have happened??

Just re-enable it with Knok (Phone settings->convert 3310 to 3315)

The version of software you mupdated was the newest one! From about v5.4x the same software is used in the 3310 as in the the asian equivalent 3315! As above use knok to convert to 3315... loads more features then thaticture message editing via the handset, automatic keylock, stopwatch, multiple sms sending, timed profiles, 2 extra received ringtone spaces, option to erase all msgs and personalized message tones (select any of your ringtones)!
