Somthing dodgy's going on.

For some unknown reason, my phone (barred in uk), my mates phone (also barred in UK) have amazingly started working.

Also, my fried from Norway told me his started working..

Anyone know whats happening?

yo yeh me2 mate was working fine at 1st then it started 2 beep again but all i did was re call again and it worked.

I'm on virgin... Which is basicly t-mobile.

I think either they've screwed up, or theyre scanning for barred handsets

its really weard im on T-mobile aswell and it aparentlly it works!!

Do you guys think that the network which we are connected to know the IMEI of the mobile we are using, they must do. Something very fishie is going on i reckon...

i dunno but networks always go down ect i remember in the past T-mobile (one2one) at the time crashed and i had free calls for 2dayz was fun unexpected things can always happen.

if anything it will just b a mistake from someone from a network or sumit and your phone will b barred again 2morrow.

hi NDI,

I did what I said and registered my 6310 (the barred one) on T-mobile, they never asked the IMEI but they log it as far as I understand, so it still makes calls, intermittently. but... IF the barred handsets stop working again I'll call up and play hell, the plan bieng that when I call i'll say "the fone I registered has gone off, I think someones barred it" and that means they will look back through my call records and see that I actually made a call on the handset which will confirm I Registered THAT phone last, hence I pass over my NEW password which I registered with the phone, barring removed, job done, Transit. (joke).

What is the general concensus? do you think it will work? or will door number 637 (next door, which doesnt exist!) get a call from PC plod?

Me and my friend also had the plan of ringing up and reporting the barred phone stolen, and asking them to put a ban on it.

3 days later, ring up and say you've found it, please kindly remove the ban

Havn't tried it yet, but i will when i have some change for the phone box
