8310 message reset

8310 v5.57

after text message is sent, if the red hang up button is pressed, a flashing "i" appears and the text "done" is shown, then the phone resets. the message is sent fine, but it gets annoyin after a while!

any ideas!?

Ive seem the same thing happen with a 3510 and 3510i. do all newer nokias have this problem?!

Do you have pay as you go phone or a contract?

its a known problem on 02 pay as you go that because the phone tries to display your balance when you have sent the message and you are cancelling out the last menu it screws up the phone causeing it to reset the easiest way to sort it is to ensure delivery reports are off and that you dont press taht button until the messageis completley sent.

i am on 02 pay as u go. is there no fix for it?! or is it possible to turn off the credit display thing after it has sent? i get free txts so i dont really need 2 know my credit after i send a txt!

Yeah, contact 02 they can turn this option for you or if your phone is stil under warranty take it to the carphone warehouse tand they will flash a fix onto it for you, you dont need proof of puchase as they just zap in the imei into the comp and tell you whats what.
