7600 and win98 Grrrr....

Has anyone managed to get the supplied usb cable working with the pc suite and 7600 on windows 98??? Ive had no luck at all getting this to work so far, Please help!!!!!!

Yes but it will ONLY work on Windows 98 SE not the original Windows 98.

It took a lot of work but I man aged to do to. what you need.

The CD that came with the phone.
A net connection.
Time

Right download the latest version of the drivers for the cable.

Install them and re-start PC

Connect Phone to cable and plug it in to PC

Will will now search for the drivers it takes a while.

once that has finished disconnect the cable and restart the PC

connect the cable back to the PC and make sure the the phone says "Data enhancement connected" if it doesn't remove and reinstall until it does.

Disconnected cable and restart

Install the PC suite from the CD that came with the phone.

restart after install.

connect cable back to PC and if it says "Data enhancement connected" start PC suite if not uninstall PC suite and drivers and try again.

It took about 3-4 tries before it work but it works on my laptop.

My PC which runs XP was a lot easier.
