here are the pics , does this actually work at all? I would have thought that nokia would have done a similar mod when they designed if it was not needed. someone explain what the link does?

seemingly the objective is to annul the effect of the filter duplexer pass band so that it can work at 1800.
the jump annuls entrances and exits of the filter duplex
that believes:p :p   :D ;)

just repace with new one, with those jumper method, will not have good signal in some area far from bts.

i dont know if this is correct, the scheme section is missing from my 82xx service manual :(
that method has shorted pins 2, 8 and 14 of the diplexer.
as my diagram has no pin numbers i am just taking these from the phone in my hand :)
2 is dcs_rx
8 is ground
14 is antenna
as the dcs_rx is the line coming from the antenna switch, i would have to assume that switching that to the other line will make it GSM1800 (only).
try this revised diagram and let me know!
My problem is that i can't buy new antena switch..what i found to my suplyers was antena switch for t28..that's why i'am intrested in this...Problem is that my phone is now monoband,so i achive not big thing(if i don't consider the fact that it is working and it's working very well )....:D :D :D
Idid already 2....in 2 days...

What is antenna switch for? what will happen to the phone when switch the antenna? can anybody tell me pls. Thanks
Antena switch is for switcing between the twoo frecvencies (for db phones) 900-1800 ...:D:D
:-D :-D
Could i make it to work just on 1800 cause here in my town all networks know 1800 and just 2 of them 900 so is beter 1800...
opo, do you read? i posted a scheme above, it needs you to test and report back to me. you should get just GSM1800 network on there.
unfortunately (well not for me :D) my 8210 still has the diplexer in place so i cant test :)
pico what you write is not posible because the point you have jump over is the point that is going to antena conector so i don't think it's gonna work at all
