here are the pics , does this actually work at all? I would have thought that nokia would have done a similar mod when they designed if it was not needed. someone explain what the link does?

Cool annul the effect of the filter pass band

seemingly the objective is to annul the effect of the filter duplexer pass band so that it can work at 1800.

the jump annuls entrances and exits of the filter duplex

    that believes

i dont know if this is correct, the scheme section is missing from my 82xx service manual
that method has shorted pins 2, 8 and 14 of the diplexer.
as my diagram has no pin numbers i am just taking these from the phone in my hand
    2 is dcs_rx
    8 is ground
    14 is antenna

as the dcs_rx is the line coming from the antenna switch, i would have to assume that switching that to the other line will make it GSM1800 (only).
try this revised diagram and let me know!

opo, do you read? i posted a scheme above, it needs you to test and report back to me. you should get just GSM1800 network on there.
unfortunately (well not for me ) my 8210 still has the diplexer in place so i cant test

pico what you write is not posible because the point you have jump over is the point that is going to antena conector so i don't think it's gonna work at all
