can any one tell me what does calculate faid mean na dhow do u calc faid?

hi, if u flash phone with new software or edit anything, u need to calc faid. Use noktool by rollis and an mbus/data cable it works well.

Noktool is in download section, get it connect phone read it then click update faid, all done.

FAID is Flash Authority I D

It sort of tells phone its ok

FAID is a Nokia security (software) measure to stop unauthorised flashing of their phones. (Is supposed to be available, only to authorised Nokia service centres!!)

To be able to calc FAID, you must use a serial port connection (usually connected to COM1).
