3310 contact service, checksum, Mbus cable.

Before you flame, I have searched through the board for an answer, and there were loads of 'contact service' errors...

Mine is due to a checksum error in the MCU ROM according to EEPROM tools. What I would like to know is, IS there anyway of fixing the contact service without using a service repair center.

I have a serial Mbus cable (F and M settins) this is for a 3310 by the way)

I don't have a 'box' or other cable. Is there anyway I can do it. The phone just decided one day to appear with contact service, for no reason whatsoever (apart from nokia trying to make me buy a new phone!!!!)

Nop.. you need to build your own flash cable
It's not so hard.. and definately not expensive..

About eh.. 3 bucks or so?
    Search the board for schematics..
