Thread: Is this 6210 fixable using Dejan?

  1. #1
Is it possible to repair a 6210 where the firmware and ppm has been wiped but EEPROM has remained intact? So far I have copied 00200000 - 00600000 from the phone, located the EEPROM (5FA000 - 600000) using a HEX editor and used this to replace the EEPROM in a full flash from another phone of the same firmware. I have opened the resulting image in nfree and used the menus to correct EEPROM crc's and ppm checksums etc. (although this doesnt seem to do anything) and used this file to reflash the phone.
The phone turns on but keeps losing the network. *#06# shows the IMEI printed on the back of the phone.

Anyone have any idea why this isn't working? The only thing I can think of is that the checksums aren't being corrected by nfree.

    Thanks for any help...

I think the problem may be in the adress you used.
I was told the adreszs for eeprom+ppm was 005A0000 to 00600000 not 005FA0000 to 00600000 as you stated.
If you have the full backup intact try again using this adress

    Good luck
