Have you noticed that Handy Day's Autostart option works independently of Sim Card code unlocking at startup?

If you have autostart set in Handy Day, it comes up before you enter the Sim unlock code (if you have one set).

Maybe there's a clue here to a better "Flight Mode" solution, that doesn't involve removing the sim card?

If there was a way to move the Sim Card code unlock request dialogue to the background, leaving the phone part of the 7650 switched off, and start the menu system, I guess this would give you flight mode - would it?
