    undeleting phonebook entries

I am a bit of a newbie when it comes to stuff relating to editing sim card data.
I have a sim card that used to have some important phone numbers in it.
Is to possible to read deleted entries that haven't been overwritten by new ones?
If so, what software/reader combination would I need to do it?

    Thanks
