software upgrade

today i popped into a mobile shop asking about software for nokia 7650. I have been told the current version is v4.39

my mobile has v3.16.

what are the benefits of upgrading? would i lose my settings etc etc?

any info would be gratefully appreciated.

they won't make a backup!

keep 3.16 it's okay. no need for 4.49

m8 i have just upraged my phone to v4.39 and all my contact, images and all the programs and defenitions i had in the phone stayed there.. i dont know if they made a backup, but i what i know is that the phone came to aa it was given to them..

the vantages are many.. suchs as in bluetooth connections and others..

Ask them before you make an upgrade!

There are no really important changes with 4.39!
But you can make an upgrade if you wish!

I think many people has the rights to do.. please explain me a way
I think the 3.16 has too bugs for me.. such as SMS compone and the the slowest and sometime bugged task menagement. I think 4.39 works great well..
..but i don't wish to $$pend 50$ to a supid and unprofessional ugly shop

I've just taken my 7650 into Carphone Warehouse in Baker Street (London) - they're busy upgrading my phone to 4.54...

Any ideas what the new versions have?
