8310 problem with sim

have tried other sim cards and still the same.
tried o2 and orange sims old and new.
vodaphone sims no problem.

funny thing is when i put another networks sim into phone the network bars and name show on screen for 3 or 4 seconds and then the message "sim card registration failed appears".

when using mbus cable with dct4 software - it says unlocked ok

any other suggestions would be appreciated,

Can you make outgoing calls? All i get is three beeps. If your 8310 does the same then i have the same problem. I'm just new to this board and the people seem really helpful. From what i gather from other posts the phone is barred. You need to get the imei number changed, but unfortunately this can't be done to the 8310. I think the only option is to find someone from another country to swap phones with.

If i am wrong on this could someone please let me know, i would like to find another way of doing this

yeah just post a topic somewhere on here saying that you wanna swap, 8310's get snapped up on here anyways, just keep good communication with the guy you swap with
