Modify ringtone in 8250

I have upgrade my 8250 from V5.0 to V6.0 now.. and now i want to add and modify the original ringtone .but i don't know how to do that, please someone could teach (step by step) how to do this ?? thank you ..

Hi there~

To change the default ringtones,1st make a backup of your phone (.fls) and u can use PPMedit V1.0 to change or add the ringtones.It might be so hard to tell u 1 by 1 here...so i think u should play a lot with the PPMedit and i'm sure u can do it afterward.

1.)Make a backup of ur phone.
2.)Open PPMedit and the load ur flash file
3.)From PPMedit,click on "Ringtones" and u'll see the default tones.You can delete the default ringtones and replace it or juz add new tones.
4.)The ringtone format is .re
5.)After modification done,save it and dun forget to KILL MCUCHK before flash it back to ur phone or otherwise u'll get Contact Service.

Hopefully u'll understand what i've wrote above.
