Just a simple question about 3210

Can anyone tell me what is it good for in the sim side of the 3210? (32.768 kHz crystal)

I have a 3210 which has no signal. or connect too slow (5 min) In netmonitor the first test shows me NSPS-> No Service Power Safe (mode). And it searching "once in a year". Could it be this crystal the problem, because i dissasembled the phone iand i saw it was a bit rusty (corrosion)

32.768 kHz crystal - this crystal used for internal clock only, so it can't be the problem. Another crystal is for MAD2 clock, but if it won't work your phone will just don't turn ON.

Any suggestion what could be the problem? (the phone torns on)
