3510i unlock problem

I have calculated unlock codes for a customer with a 3510i on Orange. Although the phone reported 'restriction removed' when he input the Lock 1 code, his BT Cellnet sim didn't work. He then tried the Lock 7 code, but got a code error.

Any help would be appreciated.

unlocking with code 7 is the best because it openes all locks. but in case it doesn't work try code 5.

Thanks. We tried code 2 and it worked. Is there any reason why code 7 wouldn't work, other than that the customer didn't key it in properly?
