    8850 Microphone Connector

Hi, My 8850 Mic is not working.

After opening it, I found that the Mic Connector on PCB was Very Loose, and moving up & down.

Can anyone tell me if this is normal or not, or should it be soldered on solidly?

Does anyone around here sell spare parts for the 8850????
    @ cheap prices?

I need the Main Chassis, The Slide Activation Switch, and Maybe the Microphone.

the flex cable , or connector should be stabilized w/ a piece double-sided tape neatly adhered underneath the cable .Check for broken or loose solder connections on both ends of the cable. You could actually get a mic from another nokia phone. not necessarily from another 8850(as you could change only the mic, if needed) and not the whole asssembly!

by the way , i forgot to mention about checking the mic. voltage at L827 (2.4V ) on active micro.
check connection between L827 and C263 (470 Ohm).
If your connector X820 is bent or soiled you may need to replace it if necessary. See also SB-005
