cant hear Nokia 5165 ringing tones

Hi i have a nokia 5165, but i cannot hear the phone ring.
I can call people hear them, i can see someone is calling me . but the ringtones wont work

any idea how i can solve this ?

Some of these are obvious, but worth a try if you haven't had any other results.

Make sure the phone is not set to silent.

Make sure the phone is not set to "auto-answer". There is a keypad command for this.

Make sure the phone does not indicate "headset".

And if all else fails, disassemble the phone, carefully clean any corrosion you may see with a damp swab with alcohol. Pay special attention to the pins and circuitry around the bottom headset connector. Innocent looking corrosion in this area can make the phones do some strange things. If you do clean your phone be sure to allow it to dry thouroughly before reassembly and power up.

It may be the ringer module on the top circuit board that has failed. You can always substitute and known working display board on the phone and see if that solves the problem.
