.wav to .amr problem converting

hi! can anyone please help me, i have a problem converting .wav
to .amr i have alredy put it to 16bit 8khz mono and my problem is,
when i try to convert it, it wont convert but there is a .pcm file.
please help me thanks in advance.

Hey well atleast you're one step further than me.. Lol. I've got 1 minute of an eminem song and it takes up 500 kb ..lol... So when you loaded the wav file into sound recorder (windows) what type did you save the file as......?
And i also downloaded the file sound converter (wav to amr) off the net but i'm having problems using it. There's isn't a detailed guide or anything.... lol.... I get a PCM file aswell and i get a really time amr file (which is of lenght 0.2sec) and it's only about 24bytes.....? help somebody please.....

i have already successfully converted my wav to amr but sound is very terrible or garbled. can anyone pleazzz. help me.
