problems flashing 3310/3330, unsure which!!

I bought a "3310 with broken screen" to fix and sell on.
Fitted the screen and it kept saying "sim registration failed" even though my sim works.
Looking at the settings i noticed it was actually 3330 software tho the imei sticker states 3310.
I am guessing it is a 3330 board since it has the extra contacts for 3410/3350 screen on it which as far as i know only come on some 3330's.
My 3330(upgraded to 3350) has also just died of water damage(thinks its charging when its not and wont charge when it should) so i tried to perform the 3350 upgrade hoping the new software would sort the sim probs.
It all flashed ok but wouldnt turn on at all.
Flashed back to 3330 and it turned on, did faid etc and its stopped sayng registration failed but now just gets no signal, resets quite often and after restting often says sim card not accepted.

If anyone knows how to sort out these problems then help will be very much appreciated.

I had this problem I updated th FAID and it worked OK!

reset the faid.. by the way, you can get this problem if you dont choose the right phone model when you set the faid..

also try: reset sp locks, reset imei to original, full factory reset, faid agai..
