8210 signal - yet again

Hi guys.

I am sorry to cover old territory, but I can't quite seem to find the answer, and I've read just about every post I can find on this.

I have two 8210's taken in to repair for friends, both with no signal.

I have systematically done the following all with no change .

Checked antenna on known working chasis.
Updated FAID.
Flashed with firmware 5.28, then virgin EEPROM, updated FAID x 15 times min, with SIM in to see effect on signal.
Same but with v 5.31.
Reflowed board.
Flashed with firmware with FAID killed.
Flashed with known working firmware.
Replaced antenna switch with brand new.
Replaced PA with brand new.
Same as above but with known working PA & Ant sw.
Reflashed with v5.31 & updated FAID TOO MANY TIMES.

What more must a bloke do to get his mates phones working?

I think I might chuck them in the river.

What have I missed? At the end of this, where both phones had no signal to start, now they show signal for 5 - 20 seconds, signal goes, and comes back intermittantly.

I really do need to fix these phones but have run out of ideas.

It could be a multitude of problems.
If youve tried alll of the above then it must be something on the PCB.
