    Unhappy nokia 3310 got damged during led change

    i was taking off the leds and the the one on the screens very first on the left hand side on the top bit i accidentaly burned it at first the led would not come off then i turned it on worked fine the i had another go checked phone would not turn on is there any important circuits or if any flash chip was there which might have been erased please help me.

    That certain led is the hardest to remove and replace because there is loads of little capacitors and stuff there! What you need to do is check you have not shorted any part of the board with solder! Also check that you have not accidently removed any bits! If still no luck, see if it'll flash!?

    nothing is shorted and nothing has fallen off but you know when you bridge the i.c's to make the lights brighter the one on top fell off does that have anything to do with it. thanks for replying

    I don't think so, I've accidently removed that one before, but I put it back on!? Make a further inspection of the board and try a re-flash!

    yeah but it does not flash so there is no power at all and the little i.c was never put back on because it got misplaced.

    Make a solder bridge over where the I.C was, ensuriong it doesn't short anywhere else on the board and try again! It has to be something simple!

    bridged it is the fist thing i did but the top bit of where the led is grinded in by accident maybe circuit destroyed please post a 3330 pcb board picture please

    The LED with the problem is right next to the Power Supply I.C(N100)! Big Black Square! Maybe you heated that up? My layout for 33xx isn't very clear on detail, just a map of where main componenents are!

    i did have a problem with that one and the red joining only until damage was done i stopped it is it burned out if so can it be bought from an elctrics shop
