Angry Nokia 3650 Wont power up

Had my nokia 3650 for just over a week and its been great no probs at all (apart from having to charge the battery every day without fail) until today.

The battery was nearly flat when I last looked at the phone, a couple of hours later I went to use it to find it was off. Thinking it was just a flat battery I plugged it into the mains and waited for it to start charging. After about 15mins it still had not come up as charging so I tried to power on the phone. When it displays "nokia" during start up it just fades away to a lit screen. After a short delay the same happens again. This happens about 4 times before it just powers off.

Anyone any ideas? or have I gotta send it back

you have to send it back.. i had the same prob. but mine came out about 2.5 weeks after..

i guessed at first that it was a Power IC problem, or probably a messed up OS, so i thought flashing it would do the trick. but it turns out that it was a defective flash IC..

Nokia in SM City told me it would cost 7,500 to replace the parts!(since i got the phone in greenhills->no warranty. they also told me that two ICs had to be replaced-both would cost about 6.5k plus labor).. i thought it was bull, so i pulled it out and had Semicon take a look at it.. guess what.. they replaced ONE IC and it cost me 1,500 pesos! and to think they both sent it to Nokia Philippines to have it checked out..

if you're covered by warranty, then you don't have a problem.. but if not, the Nokia repair shop will probably screw you by overcharging and replacing more parts than necessary. i went there bec i thought it would be the best place to have it fixed. Semicon had my phone fixed at Nokia Philippines as well so its just as good.
