When I open the DOS file nothing happens; it quickly opens and shuts again.... What am I doing wrong ?

you read the text file?

in xp this is what to do

start>run> typein "Command Prompt"(without the "s)
then grab the exe. file and drop it in the black withdow.

THE MS-DOS screen should show something similar to C:\Documents and Settings\User\Desktop\DCT-4 Calc.exe.

Press the spacebar once and enter either a 2 or a 5 depending on phone type, 5 is 3650 and 7650 and all other handsets are type 2.
10. After the number press the spacebar once more and enter the handsets IMEI, ensuring it is 15 digits long.
11. Press the spacebar again and enter the 5 digit MCC-MNC code, see below for a full list.
12. Your screen should now show something similar to this:
C:\Documents and Settings\User\Desktop\DCT-4 Calc.exe 2 350998802997495 23400
13. Now press 'Enter' and your unlocking codes will be displayed

i've read in the instructions that to make the codes from this program work like the V2 dongle codes you have to -1 the scond digit, but there's an easier way:

when running the program, use boxserial=33820.

exmaple:
to generate codes for
imei: 350998802997495
network: 23400
type: 2

add 33820 after the line like this:

C:\Documents and Settings\User\Desktop\DCT-4 Calc.exe 2 350998802997495 23400 [B]33820[/B]

that will give you instant V2 codes.

It works fine in Windows Server 2003, so i guess it works in XP too.

Do as boss1986 said, but write [b]cmd[/b] instead of "command prompt"

what is this boxserial? i tried with 32820, 32819, 33820. The codes where each time different, but all of them worked.

the boxserial works like this:
if you add x to a digit, it will decrease the digit in the code by x

example:
if i got this code with boxserial 32820
#pw+123456789012345+1#
i will get this code with 3[u]3[/u]820
#pw+1[u]1[/u]3456789012345

means u dont have to start the calc thru dos-checked some codes, came out the same (i think it works as a v2 generator).

Also, how do u know when to use a v2 or v1 generator i.e. different boxserial's etc. for each fone?

it's better to use the v2 codes always.
bacuse v2 codes works on all phone, and v1 codes works only on older models.

you [u]must[/u] use v2 codes for these models:
3510i
7250
and i think that also 6100, not sure.

3510i and 7250 are also type 2, but the UEM chip is different.

3510i and 7250 are "UEM6 - Type 2"
and all the others are "UEM2 - Type 2"
type 5 phones are all UEM5.

i've downloaded the shell but i can't open rar files. could you please upload a zipped version?

Having a prob with winzip, but ill load up the files seperately,

first file has 4 files in it.

put "dct4nok.exe" and "operators.txt" into a new file called "dct4calc", then wen ive uploaded the last file, also put this into the dct4calc file, and copy this into c:

it wont let me upload the last file, but it is a dos file called "CALC" with teh extension "dct4calc\CALC.pif" and goes in the c:dct4calc file

No this one is based on the same DOS Program but it is another shell

Just had a look at de one u posted, makes it much easier to select/or find a network! Both the same thing really, but ur one is probs more user friendly - can also cut and paste the code to e.g. email it to a mate etc.

Hope this helps anyone else wanting to download a calc shell!

Had a look at the shell - is very nice , basically the same as the Dark Lemming shell but with different layout, follows the set of inputs (i.e. operator code etc.) in a slightly more ordered manner to achive unlock code - one extra button for help - "locks info" which gives details of what each code does.

Downside-takes a little longer to load than the dark lemming shell (well...on my pc anways )

Hey again, Nokias has released a new version with a few changes, now it works in Automatic mode, u can calculate without change to V1 or V2, and a bug that put the program in memory even when u quit the program has fixed.

About the delay time at loading, if u simply press any key it'll load faster

I have downloaded all hte dct-4 unlocker programs here, but none of them have the provider t-mobile and cingular. What are the different provider codes for them? Im really confused. Can I even unlock t-mobile and cingular phones?
