I have never used one of these boxes, but what advantages do they offer over standard cables?

Is there much point in trying to locate one?

dont think there is any.... maybe auto logging?

you can use very user friendly software to upgrade software (windlls and winddp). just makes the process of upgrading software idiot proof.

also u can reset security code on dct4 handsets.

unlock, change imei all through parallel port. no need to connect phone to serial cable after flashing.

but no big advantages.
