8210 to 8890

Hi,
I have seen messages in the forums here turning an 8210 Rom5! to 8890 v12.20. I have 2 questions about that procedure:

1) If the 8210 is a Rom 6 one the above conversion still works?
(my guess is "yes" am I correct?)

2) If one flashes an 8210 Rom5/6 with software of 8890 that means also that now the phone is working as a tri-band?
Or some essential hardware is missing form the 8210 PCB in order to work in the frequences of USA?

As far as I know..Its not only flas required....also hardware changes....just differend frequencies...sorry bout that...
