    Having problems with Gnokii

I want to download a ringtone from my 8210, have read everything I can find on it but with the phone connected via a cable and the program open with the com port set to 2 etc, in the bottom right hand corner of the Mygnokii window it says "not connected". How do you get the prgram to connect to the phone?
    Please help!

Question Suspicious cheap 7110 - what could be wrong?

    Hello
On my last visit to MBK i saw a poor 7110 sitting lonely at a shop that sells second hand phones. I noticed that this phone was also there when i been there a while ago, and this time i looked closer, specifically at it's price label. 1.500 Baht! That is 35 us$ and a price they ask normally for a 5110!
The seller did not speak english, i don't speak suficient thai, so i could only verify that the phone really costs 1.500 Baht only, and it got me interested. Now, i did not have a chance to test it as it's battery was missing, so i ask here - what, apart from the missing battery, could cause this in my opinion excellent phone to be so dirt cheap?
The 7110 is a DCT-3 so i could, should it be required, flash it with my homemade flasher which works great for a 5130. Or can't i? Is the 7110's softwar/flash somehow encrypted? I studied older threads and seems like many people have some sort of trouble with these phones, yet for 1.500 Baht you can't do much wrong, adding 250 for a brand new battery, provided the phone will power up.
What are common issues with the 7110? What should i look for, in case it can be powered on? If it does NOT power up, can it be flashed and will work? Is the hardware faulty and i can expect the need for a new PCB? (those are hard to get here, the 7110 is quite unpopular and has lately been sold for 5.900 Baht unlocked, inclusive a pre-paid SIM, seemingly old stock from D-TAC as they were original packaged in a D-TAC package)
Please advice me someone who knows the 7110 inside-out, i am very thankfull for any info......
    Kind regards.....
    your Thanh

Maybe because the 7110 is a old phone? I think it came -99 or something. I got one but I will keep it as a spare if something happens to my new 6610. I guess that $35 is pretty cheap but I don't think it's worth so much these days I still like it though. The design is still pretty cool.
