    IMEI number

    Hello

When you change an IMEI number, where does the new changed IMEI number come from? I assume its randomly generated but then how is that number configured to work on all phone networks?????

When a phone is reported lost or stolen that specific IMEI number is barred, hence that specific phone stops working.

After geneartion of a new IMEI for the locked phone, how is this number recogonised on the respective networks????

    Thanks
    Kind Regards

    1. How do you mean new changed IMEI? Do you generate them self??

1/2. It just can, the operators just check it.

    2. Strange question. Why does milk come out of cows??

=> No, if you chnage the IMEI, or place a new UEM chip, the phone will just function as normal. The operators won't see that you have a different IMEI, even't Nokia can't see. It just works.
