This is a DCT3 phone which means you need to unlock via cable if you have the cable then you just need software which is all free, just let me know if you need more help

I need more help.. I don't understand what you mean by cable.. I am totally new to this whole cell phone thing.

right dct4 and dct3 is basiccally the generation of the phone so dct 3 is 3rd generation dct4 is generation 4.
you have a 3rd generation which means unforunately you must unlock your phone via a data cable to you computer. Then using software like eprom tools you can unlock your phone by basically reprogramming the network locks. Dont worry it sounds complicated but its just a couple of clicks with the program i mentioned if you need more help just let me know
