hey i know this guy sellind a 8310 he says when he puts a vodafone sim in it it just says please insert sim. what do you think is wrong with it i was thinking it was just locked to another network what do you guys think. thanks in advance.

If it was network locked it would say something like 'simcard not accepted' mate. May be the sim reader come unsoldered from the board but not too sure?

More often this is a power problem...reheating the power chip fix this problem in more cases..Does the phone sais this with any SIM card?..
