3410! help ridding of this trouble !!!

hello everyone auta here.. Few weeks ago I bought Nokia 3410, (unwarrantied) but now have a several problems with it ;-(

Well, first (and the biggest) trouble is that when I send a message (SMS), it's no matter is it less or more than 160 characters it almost always goes in 3 messages.. (and of course 3 SMS fee ) (except extremely short msgs like "hello, how r u ?" )

to check out what the heck is going on, I saved a outgoing message into sim card, and inserted sim into another phone (Panasonic gd 90) and saw that there's blanks after each of my written word..

I got in touch with official Nokia phone rent center and they told me that they can can fix that problem by re-installing software (in my case it is "v 03.06 NHM-2") but it costs too expensive 4 me..

can I do it by myself ? ..Recently, I found out on the net the 03.09 version of this software, but dont know how to install it and what kind of software must I use to do that.. (are there any risks like losting phone numbers, or worst broking my phone at all ?)

I also heared something like "flasher" is it gonna be the right software to do that ?.. please someone help with that shitty trouble (or tell me how to re-install 3410 software, or please send an URL where it explains)

wel sending messages 3 time's try chageing the unie code thing bk to normal i think that's wat it is called
