    the charger!

    Hello there :)

I honestly don't know the 6210, but i know the 5110 and the 5130 which share the same problem you have.

You can charge those phones (and, most likely, also your 6210) only with a specific charger for that very model of phone!

I have had several Nokia's in my "career" which have been 3210, 3310/3315, 5130, 6510, 6610, 7250, 8250 and 8910. They aven't all been mine, but also my boyfriend's. Due to that fact, there is still a multitude of chargers present in my room, as some of the phones got sold without their chargers..... and other chargers got bought as spares for the office, or in-car chargers etc.
I now still own the 5130 and alltogether 7 different chargers. But i can tell you: That 5130 can be charged with only ONE of them, which is the one i bought specifically for it! All the other 6 won't get that phone charged, but instead cause it to, same as yours, display "not charging"! But all other Nokia phones can be charged with any of the 7 chargers, also with the 5130-charger.

So i guess for you, you may look for a specific "5110 charger" at your phone shop. Take the phone along and test in the shop if it charges, test that for several minutes! Because some chargers someohow "dupe" the phone, it actuall starts charging but finishes after a very few minutes saying "Battery full" but it is of course NOT full.

Most likely the 5110-charger will also be able to get your 6210 charged :)

    Kind regards.....
    your Thanh

The wrong charger problem may be very true for the 5110, but not for the 62xx! What I would suggest is that the battery contacts have cracked from the board! Try to lightly pry them up and see if they are in fact cracked! If they are, simply resolder them! This is a common problem with the 3210, and the battery contacts are almost identical!!!
A friend will bail you out of jail! A true friend will be in the cell with you saying " Shit, we really fucked up this time!!!"

    62xx.....

    Hello again :)

Thank you for the reply.... yes, Chunkhead, as i said... i never had a 62xx and i don't know how those behave - it may well be the contact-gl;itch as i am also aware of that with the 3210's, i suffered from that myself :)

    @theboy23
try "my" method with the 5110, it will surely help - and do what Chunkhead suggests with the 6210. He knows much about hardware and i am sure his method will help you with that one :)

    Kind regards.....
    your Thanh

    hi the boy

i had same prob what i did was first take off battery then get very small screwdriver (jewellers) and where the charger go's in to the phone you will see the centre pin contact, in the centre put screw driver in it, it is split and open them out not to much then they will make contact with charger let me know if ok
