Hi,
There is a major glitch with the Nokia 3650 phones. When you select a General Profile without Vibrator on and activate it, and if the very first call is from a Landline, the volume of the tune is low. However, when someone calls from a GSM or mobile set, the tune will play loud and clear. Then if someone calls from Landline, it will play fine, but a little low. The moral here being that if the first call after activating a profile is from Landline, you may not even hear the call.
I spoke regarding this to Nokia India and Nokia Singapore and they were surprised to see the failure. They even changed 2 phones. The other Nokia 3650 behaved in the same above manner. They even upgraded the software to check if that helped. No way!! It still failed.
So ultimately I have told them that either they get it fixed or money back please. Its now Nokia's prestige to get this fixed. If any body else has any suggestions they are welcome.
We have tried the following:
1. Activated the GENERAL, OUTDOOR, MEETING tunes.
2. Even tried to make all profiles same. NO GO.
One thing to note here is that if the profile is not activated and a tune s chosen then the landling thingy works fine. Then if we go ahead and activate it, it works fine. So in other words, if we directly activate a profile it does not work. And yes forgot to mention, the above occurs only with polyphonic ringtones.
3. We have even changed SIMs, tried calling from different Telephone exchanges also.
4. We have changed to 2 new Nokia 3650.
5. We have upgraded software from 3.13 to 3.16 to 4.02 (their latest)
Still NO GO!!
6. Ringer volume kept at max. and 1 lower than max. Keypad tones kept at all different levels. Vibrator kept on and off also.
ANY SUGGESSTIONS???
