    Regarding 6600 Chargers

Question: Are all chargers made by Nokia the same? Like is it ok to use my 6210 charger to Nokia 6600?

Both are original. My nokia 6210 charger is 5.3 volts and 500 amperes while my current nokia 6600 us 5.7 volts and 800 amperes.

For those who are knowledgable in this field, is it ok to use my old charger to my 6600. It works but will it do unseen damage to my 6600?

    Thanks

meh, it seems like if it fits, it charges.

Ive never heard of a charger not compatible with another phone, unless its because of the shape of the plug.

Nokia produces different battery chargers that are compatible and used by different Nokia phones (as you will see on any Nokia accessories booklet). The old 6210 (wich I had too) was sold with a standard battery charger ACP-8E, while the newer phones (3650 and 6600 for sure) come with the higher amperage ACP-12E. Nokia still produces both chargers, and both are compatible with N3650 and N6600 (both phones have same battery): ACP-8E is a standard charger, ACP-12E should be the traveler's version, lighter, smaller, and faster. N6210 charger, having a lower amperage, will charge the battery a little slower, but it makes the battery life span longer (just as Mcperez said), and some say that the battery will also reach a higher level of charge, which means that each charge will last a little longer (not sure about it). Anyway if you can wait a couple hours more to charge your phone, lower amperage standard charger is always preferable.

I'm using my old N6210 charger on my N3650, and will be keeping it also for N6600 (coming soon!)

    Chargers

Thanks for all the info on chargers - Nokia makes a big deal in the 6600 handbook on only using the ACP-12 . I have two ACP-8 but wasn't game to try them. Looks like ACP-8 is better for overnight charging.
