First of all, has anyone got any reliable full flashes or perhaps MCU, PPM and clean EEPROM?

Please reply if you know of some good sites that actually work

(apart from WNiTe)

I have tried many times to upgrade my 5510 to newer software, but I keep on having problems. When the phone starts up, and gets to the main menu. The keypad normally freezes, and I get no signal. Does anyone have any thoughts?

I'm using an MCU, PPM and EEPROM from Wnite. I am going to try one from this site in the next couple of moments, but I'm sure it will be to no avail. I flash MCU and PPM with Rolis, followed by EEPROM, I then correct IMEI, unlock and calculate using NCalc..

I want to modify my 5510 greatly, but unfortunately I'm set back by this 'hanging' problem - is anyone else suffering from the same problem when they upgrade their 5510?

well.. i erased everything from my 5510, flashed v03.50 mcu+ppm, then flashed v03.53 mcu + ppm, used virgin eeprom, wrote original product codes, serial, imei, calced faid and works fine.

Erasing everything.. could that be my problem? I'm not sure.

Can I ask you - if you use Logomanager for your 5510 does it freeze after you update ringtones/logos.. and then press some keys, a few seconds later turns off?

hmm.. i use fbus to transfer logos and so to 5510, but 5510 keyboard won't react when using fbus.

and now i noticed that logomanager won't work anymore.. maybe time to upgrade logomanager.

last time i changed operator logo and startup picture it worked fine, no power off until i switched myself power off.

i don't know why 5510 "hangs" (no responding to keyboard) when using fbus.
but it's easy to live with that.

it's a feature: 5510 needs more power than 3330, so if you update logos or whatever with fbus, it don't mess things, it gives priority to fbus.. and after you take off fbus-cable, it will let you do what you want

if you transfer pictures to phone, and battery is near empty, it would probably shut down if you are writing sms same time..

Yeah, I guess. I don't know, 5510's are really interesting aye.

Why did you buy one? Is it your only phone?

I also have an 8250. I like the 8250 for when I go clubbing, but I like the 5510 as a companion. Its got sensational features.. I just wish Nokia didn't include the keyboard - it was completely not essential! Hehe..

why did i buy 5510?
well.. i went to store, thought i'd buy 3310 or 3330.
they said "buy 5510, it's cheaper, and more features"..

3310 was 149eur, 3330 was 159eur, 5510 was 129eur...

and well.. i was been some times looking for some kind of musicplayer for biking.. 5510 had player, so i need only phone when i go biking, and still have phone, clock, musicplayer...

and 5510 had keyboard. no more numpad

that's why i bought 5510.
if i were bought 3330... no music, no fast sms writing... and too expensive.

i have motorola T2288 as spare phone, my little brother now has my older 3210.

can anyone help me with this 5510 which shutting off after 5 seconds after you press the power key....i have full flashed it with a 3.53 full flash and it did not solve the problem....

I respect your help,but it's no way... I tried to flashing it several different flashes & E2Ps,but no success...And also tried to reset it to FACTORY,to DEV,to UI,etc...Nothing helped.

The phone sw and the UI sw is two different things in 5510.The UI sw plays the music and drives the AM/FM radio.The UI sw runs in a Texas Instruments DSP,fully separated from the phone's other logic parts.The AM/FM radio is a Philips TEA-series IC controlled by the DSP,as I remember...

me too! i bought this cd somewhere here and tried upgrading my fone. then same thing happend. now my fone is useless can anyone help me on how i can fix my fone? i'm using nok95 and have a hard time using it. pls. i badly need ur help. ty!
