Hi fellow Nokia users.
I just got my 6600 and have got a few of the 'necessary' apps for usage. I'm having an AWESOME time with it!![]()
I believe there's some aspects of the messaging I do not quite like though (and we all love our Nokia messaging); pressing C to delete a character as opposed to "back" that I'm used to, the constant beeping after you're held down a character to bring up a number or special items menu. Anyway, does anyone know of any programs that change these for us, or allow us to customise our messaging experience?
In particular, there's gotta be a program going around that allows you to view the entire contents of your extended T9 dictionary. Nokia phones tend to overwrite initial entries when you get to the end of your allocated memory space for user-added words. That's silly because that way you end up adding entries again and again.I have not obviously used the 6600 enough to know how large this memory is, but the fact that they mention it in the manual is enough to make me think there is some realisable limit. (Can anyone with lots of experience confirm that?) We need a program to be able to view the list of our dictionary's words and be able to delete unused ones (maybe we only needed it once or twice, or maybe we no longer "use" that word
). It might also be great to be able to select the order of words in which T9 spits them out for us (Who really writes "he" that often as opposed to "if"?!), especially when your strange word is placed right at the end of the list of really common words you don't use. Finally, it would be nifty to be able to allocate ourselves a bit more memory for the extendable dictionary at our own desire - for the hardcore SMSers.
If anyone has any feedback on this, or knows of any developed or in development program that might allow such messaging features/customizable options, let us all know! I think it would be greatly beneficial to the whole Nokia Series 60 community.
Cheers guys and peace out.
