    7250i - problematic?

    Hi,

I recently bought a cd with loads of rintones and pictures on it and I got a non nokia fbus cable. I then bought MobiMB Seperatley to download them to my phone. For some reason when i connnected them all up to my phone it starting flashing and then the phone powered off. After further investigation it seems that most 3rd party fbus calbes are designed for the 7210 and therfore dont operate correctly with the 7250(i) and other phones properly and can cause damage to them if this happens. I spoke to the person who sold me the CD and cable and explained that the reason i am having this problem is because the third party fbus cable supplied isnt supported by my phone. his reply was that

" If you have version 3.22 dated 06-03 then you have a problematic version 7250i , no matter what your problem software developers will always say buy an original cable "

Is there any truth behind this? or is he trying to fob me off?

    Thanks

I have the information i need. Fbus dont work with 7250i full stop on version 3.22. I have know opted for the infra red with Mobi-MB which seems to b working fine.

Since the guy gave me an Infra red for nothing, i say live and let live eh?!
