Thread: Nokia 6600 - The ESSENTIAL Function?

Question Nokia 6600 - The ESSENTIAL Function?

    Hello Everyone,

Thankyou for the posts on this forum, they have helped me very much with understanding my 6600.

The question that I have is that I always forget to lock the 6600 keypad as as such, the phone calls many numbers that I have on speed dial and the log folders when it is bumped or in my jacket pocket... I end up with disturbing cell phone bills as a result much to the joy of my provider.

Please can some one tell me if it is possible to select an AUTO KEYPAD lock function on the 6600 - say when the phone is inactive for 20 or so seconds. This would really help with the accidental calling problem.

There are other phone providers that have this function, but I believe that the 6600 does not??

    Can someone please help me?

    Rgds,
    Brendon

I had to get that autolock program, because I had the same problem that you had. Like when I needed to put my phone away fast, I always forgot to lock it later, but the good thing about mine was that I am on prepaid, so I couldn't rack up a really high phone call bill.

I don't use jjkeylock, cause I dont need it. I use the AutoLock function in Tools -> Settings. I like it because it works like the jjkeylock, but after it locks ... no one can get back in except for me. This is great for a student like me, whose mates own 3315s, 2100s, 3100s and 6610s.

So yea ... they call my phone a "nerd" phone because of the Lock Code to get in lol
Now I just have to get a Screen Protector to prevent any smudges and fingerprints on the screen

I already have on scratch on my 6600's screen. And guess where that was from? From trying to put a UV Clear Case onto the phone! Damnit, I put the case on to prevent scratches ... but no, it CREATES scratches! Argh ...
